My favorite painting in the entire world is Les raboteurs de parquet (The Floor Scrapers) by Gustave Caillebotte. Was very sad when I couldn't find it at the d'Orsay last week. It's not currently on exhibition. 🌸

Walked past my late-maternal grandparent’s home last evening and nearly burst into tears seeing the lilac hedge in bloom in the backyard. It was all I could do to not wander over and luxuriate in the smell!
