One could argue that this depiction is literally just slapping the name Taskmaster onto a completely different character. OG Taskmaster rules, he's the perfect combo of an interesting villain with a nice power and an absolute loser
Four panel comic. First panel, Taskmaster begins drawing his sword, menacing the viewer. June, Offscreen: "Taskmaster!" Taskmaster: "Hello, June. And who's this? Your new boyfriend?" Second panel, Taskmaster swipes his sword at Slapstick, who cartoonishly folds himself backwards out of the way of his attack. Slapstick: "No, my name is Slapstick and I'm just-- woah there Skeletor!" Third panel, Slapstick retaliates with a sword swing of his own. Taskmaster: "Like I saw you do this-" his dialogue is interrupted as he attempts to copy Slapstick's dodge, catastrophically breaking his spine as he attempts to fold himself backwards in the same cartoonish way Fourth panel, Slapstick and June now stand over Taskmaster who lies crumpled on the ground, the fight completely over. They both look extremely concerned. Taskmaster: "No... No feeling..." Slapstick: "that's bad. Probably a spinal injury. Probably definitely."
