The main "guts" I guess of this script. It is a pretty simple script on paper, but there are just some details and stuff that needs to be ironed out for this to work. Testing is also important as well since accuracy is pretty important.

Btw, doing this all in grep and I think the regex is beautiful. Just need to do a bit more tweaks and get it to properly write the json the way I want it to.

Finally took this packet squirrel apart and it it is just two boards on top of each other... it looks like an i/o board on top of the main board which honestly a bit disappointing because I originally thought it was a more unique board that was all one board.

So uh... I did a thing and finally got this to work.
Originally I was doing this on my wifi pineapple nano and realized I was right about the chip being on the other side instead of the one where mostly everything important looking was at (second pic), but couldn't get spi to correctly show in pulseview and going to comeback to this board later.
