I've held the belief for a long time that the upper levels of judge certification should include a requirement of playing in two competitive tournaments each year (non-RCQs).

Unsurprisingly, this was never viewed as feasible to implement and I know it's a pipe dream.

It's still important.

Seems like a decent time to remind people that I wrote an article about the woes of judges as it relates to Organized Play last year.
We're fighting a losing battle. Nothing has changed and it seems unlikely to.
