Thanks to Leisure Games, I've acquired a holy grail pairing in the duo of Hot Springs Island books. Once a pain in the arse to get to the UK, I finally have the lovely hard copies to adorn my shelves...

Today, I'm refreshing myself on archaeological conservation methods to prepare for an interview during the week.

What I really want to do is build the US Infantry and German Grenadiers that my mate passed onto me yesterday...

Zelda is having one of those days…

Spent the morning doing tasks and the afternoon playing my first few games of bolt action with my mate James - thoroughly enjoyed it, even if the Germans gave the US a bit of a kicking…

@fenrisgames.com really do make fantastic scenery and terrain pieces...

Ambient temperature might have - we have to were gloves and goggles due to rush assessments 🙄 The goggles probably hampered me more due to rain and steaming up! But did managed to knock this out while the students went off for a break and a hot drink...

I’ve been wanting to get my hands on a copy of this book since I saw it announced. Still unavailable in the UK and unable to be shipped from the publishers for international distribution, I eventually found a copy available to buy from Poland - and with very quick shipping it landed today.

Wyrd Science dropping left, right and centre today. Happily, it's also landed here and I am eager to dig into this issue. As always, crammed full of excellent articles covering all aspects of gaming (and beyond!).

Sad you don't have one? Well you can get it here: shop.wyrd.science

Miracles can happen! Dolmenwood just edged out The Shrike in a close fought race to the finish. Excessive packaging from Zatu though and it's a bloody miracle it arrived undamaged, all freely rolling around in basically an empty space with some scrunched up paper as the only protection...

It's out for delivery! Come on, Ryan, hop to it!
September 26, 2025 at 8:31 AM
Nice surprise in the post today. Dolmenwood? No, no, no. It's Hope is the the Dead by @forbiddenpsalm.bsky.social - arriving super swiftly given the notification that shipping was underway only went out on Tuesday!

Really looking forward to seeing this one hit the table.

Yoon-Suin is past the finishing post, as this tasty brick of a book arrived today! Dolmenwood and The Shrike both still not off the starting blocks desire dispatch notifications being received.

Just re-checked my tracking with DPD.

September 24, 2025 at 7:59 AM
Good mail day today, and it's looking like a good mail week overall with Dolmenwood, Yoon-Suin and The Shrike all expected to land at some point over the next few days. Now, all I need to figure out is where to out them all 🤔

I would highly recommend Ross Barnett's book "The Missing Lynx" which touches on both species as well as many other extinct mammals from the British Isles. If only for the evocative description of how Homotherium killed its prey...

Here's my take on Warrior Duke with his flaming sword from @fenrisgames.com and @forgeofice.bsky.social.

I should probably get around to taking an updated photo with a backdrop for this lovely model.
