another example I feel really weird about: someone posted about how they're commenting on a fic as four separate ppl. they have four different ao3 accounts. they are commenting on this fic pretending to be 4 different ppl, lying and pretending more people are enjoying the fic

*readers can do what they want and make whatever comments in the bookmarks, but some authors look at it and if they see smth neg they're allowed to feel bad. it's natural.

authors are allowed to get upset at bookmark comments. regardless if bookmarks are space for the reader and not the author, that doesn't matter bc authors have feelings. but ofc redditors don't care
