When writing part of the Declaration of Independence Jefferson smudged out the word "subjects" and replaced that with "citizens."

RFK Jr. is removing independent scientists from the CDC’s vaccine policy panel and putting his own people in charge.

This shift means that the CDC’s vaccine guidance is no longer coming from independent experts it’s now under his direct control.
