Do you want to be a better developer - as in excellence for its own sake - or do you want to have the game delivered and out the door? If it's the first one, write your own engine; it's super hard but you'll learn so much. If you just want the game working so you can polish and market it, go Unreal.

I've been excited for your next project since I finished Roadwarden two years ago and Windy Meadow last year, but these screenshots are hitting my pallet perfectly!

Roadwarden. Sleeper game that goes so hard. It doesn't have the mental health issues in the MC but it's flexible and has brilliant writing.
