The funniest thing about returning to the public sphere is how quickly strangers start to DM you. 📩

A massive shout-out to the people making life here so much easier. Thank you, Rev. Tess, for always helping when we're in need. So grateful for George, Mary, and John—and especially Gill, who always shows up right when I need a hug. Love you all! ❤️🫂

Moved from SA to the US for love. Rebuilding a life is one thing, but navigating the current state of the US is another. 🙃 I tell my wife every day she’s lucky she’s so cute. My heart is forever South African, but at least the company is good.❤️

To be fair, I do love some things here. Specifically: My wife. And the small handful of friends who have our backs. End of list. (Sorry, America, but the rest of you are just 'geography' to me right now. 🤷‍♀️)

I grew up in Apartheid South Africa, where textbooks were sanitized to protect the privileged. I see the same dangerous patterns in the US today. History isn't meant to be comfortable, it’s meant to be true. Discomfort is how we learn to do better.

In August 2025, I followed legal advice to close my accounts for safety. But looking around at the U.S. today, it’s clear that silence doesn't guarantee safety for anyone anymore. So I’m back. I’m not leaving again. Whatever must happen, must happen.
