Used to add a cup of coffee, but its too much caffeine- literally the chili will keep you up all night!
The volume of stuff can vary too- more or less depending on how much you want to make. 3 peppers, one of each color is nice. Lots of prep, chopping to make things small. I simmer it for 3+ hours

Chopped bacon in pan, add chopped onion, garlic, jalapeños, green peppers, cook to soft, add red wine, then brown ground chuck + pork, add can of diced tomatoes, pinto + kidney beans. Add salt/pep/chili powder. Add bottle of Guinness, enough chicken stock. Later add bar of high % dark chocolate

Great episode for that kind of deep dive into the 'how and why' of many things.

At the end of "Book and Dagger" -Joseph Curtiss, after war is over, get permission to do with what he wants with all the fascist art, so he just burns it in the furnace (all the stuff made the party, generals, losers) to heat the building they were working in.

There was a huge fan restorational effort 15-20 years ago to recover the original look/effects lost in the multiple releases of the original trilogy that new editions did- check out Harmy's Despecialized Editions. Took those old laser discs, reels, etc. to effective restore/preserve the films

There is a long standing Chicago radio bit about callers being named Bob- for this pope, and many of his generation, that name/age is highly represented in the area. Truly a major missed opportunity, but get enough people on board and call 'em Bob da Pope

Remember when people believed this tank out of the playoffs was still happening and the team was going to be awful? The Sixers were just a few games behind the Bulls in the standings, since Feb 5 the Sixers went 4-28

Gotcha, I do remember Edwards Jr. making those statements, but forgot they went both times. This makes a lot more sense

I don't think that post was correct. It cites a deleted article & the date is off. When the Cubs went to the White House visit, Edwards Jr. went, he is in the photos (top row), and Obama was still president (which the Cubs tried fit in spite of the political change).
