Retired lefty. Advice to young self: Study hard and save 10% of your salary (what I didn't do); be courageous; be kind and don't worry needlessly. Juan Carl was my birth father's name but he died before I caught up with him.
Living on Yuggera land
In one of emails released by the House Oversight Committee, Epstein tells Maxwell that in April 2011, Trump spent hours with one of Epstein's "victims". They wouldn't be involved in anything sexual of course. That would be highly improper. They would just be chatting.

"....Just a diseased distillation of everything this country (the US) swears it isn't, but has always been."

I'd take issue with the 'always been' bit. James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson, Hoover, and Franklin Pierce were all poor choices but they were getting it right. Then they elect Trump, twice!!!

"haymaker of a speech" "moral bankruptcy of the UN" "corrupt"
What??? Then you see that it's Sky News Australia talking about Donald Trump. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Seriously?? Does anybody actually read this crap? www.msn.com/en-au/news/o...

Colin Firth’s ex-wife, Livia Giuggioli (Firth), has dramatically handed back her MBE because of Britain’s ‘appeasement’ of US President Donald Trump. Well done, Livia. Should be more of this, a lot more. www.msn.com/en-au/news/o...

Atwood’s “The Handmaid’s Tale" is a portend of Trump's America. Sure, there are differences but you only have to see Kirk's memorial service to see the amalgamation of right-wing Christian populism and the MAGA movement. It's an America that's authoritarian, puritanical, militarized and oppressive.
September 26, 2025 at 7:25 AM
Is this one of Kirk's opponents talking about Kirk? No, it's Kirk talking about George Floyd. Nice fella that Charlie Kirk.

Trump is a fraud. And this is just another lie. CNN have found that during and between his terms as President of the United States, Donald Trump has made tens of thousands of false or misleading claims.

Know what Domain knows?? It's bugger all. There're two units in Kangaroo point. Both are in the same building, both are on the same level, and in fact one is the mirror image of the other. But one is valued at $1.18m and the other at $1.68m. Seriously, Domain know bugger all about property values.

100% Trump, is it not? It was Trump who "grabs 'em by the pussy". We've seen similar sketches, similar sentiments and a similar signature. This is significant. If true, it implies that Trump was involved in the same surreptitious sexual activities as his mate Epstein. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-09...

This is the very one who has now been transferred to a low-security prison in Texas to continue serving her 20-year prison sentence.
The move came a week after Ghislaine Maxwell met with Deputy US Attorney General Todd Blanche. Blanche was President Donald Trump’s former personal attorney!!!!!

Seriously Abbey Gelmi, there is more to talk about in sport than AFL. 18 minutes into a 30 minute edition of the Offsiders and the panel were still talking AFL. Not much time left for the NRL, rugby, soccer, cricket, swimming, cycling or golf. My friends tell me there is no point watching Offsiders.

Monstrous and corrupt is right. Trump’s personal lawyer, Todd Blanche, interviews Ghislaine Maxwell and gets her to agree to make a public statement that to her knowledge Donald Trump did not have sex with underage girls and in return is granted a pardon. Wow! Don't ya love it! #TrumpEpsteinCoverup

The FBI searched for any mention of Donald Trump in the files on sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Seriously? Why would they bother? There are enough photos of these two in the public domain to show that Trump was a very good friend of the serial pedophile. And we all know what that means.

What a farce!! Just when you thought things couldn't get any more ridiculous in a land where a buffoon is president, we have the TACO trade. TACO stands for "Trump always chickens out". Investors profit by buying the dip that has followed Trump's tariff threats.

Alan Kohler writes that the Australian economy is a basket case. While that may be something of an exaggeration, it is an economy badly in need of reform, something along the lines of what Hawke and Keating did in the 1980s. We all hope Chalmers and Albo are up for it. www.abc.net.au/news/2025-05...

What are the homeless supposed to do, Tom Tate? Why doesn't the Gold Coast Council build a huge camping ground back behind the Coast with showers and toilets and free public transport into the CBD for those who want/need it. You could even provide a manager. We all know the Council can afford it.

BULL OR BULLSHIT????
Is this market manipulation or what? Tariffs on, market tanks; tariffs off, market booms. Trump and his mates must be making a motza, and at the same time making the guys over at the SEC scratch their collective heads.

David Morgan, Treasury official at the time and later Westpac CEO described Keating’s performance driving the 1985 tax reforms through cabinet: "He used rationality, he used his intellect, he used humour ...and it was the most remarkable performance I've ever seen in my years inside a cabinet room."

"The difficult issue here is that we’ve had bare faced ambition and a deputy prime minister wield a factional club to reshape the ministry. I think people, when they look at a deputy prime minister, they expect to see a statesman, not a factional assassin." - Ed Husic, Insiders 11.5.2025
May 11, 2025 at 2:50 AM
It is clear now that Ed Husic challenged Penny Wong regarding Australia’s position on the Middle East conflict and that's the reason, if not the main reason, he was dropped from Cabinet. Look out Penny Wong! Those heated debates will now take place in public and the ALP will be the loser. #Insiders

Think this bear market is over, do we? Maybe, maybe not. I like P&F charts because they tend to show the big picture better than other types of charts, and this one says the trend is still down, down, down. That could well change in the next few days but for now, the trend is still down. #Markets

Don't think #Trump doesn't believe in #ClimateChange. Nobody is that stupid. No it's pure greed. To say you don't believe in the science is more acceptable than saying you care more about accumulating wealth than the catastrophic damage caused by climate change. www.independent.co.uk/news/world/a...
