One half of TWITWOW and unapologetic Utami and Kevin Owens stan. Oba Femi, Bron Breakker, and Jacob Fatu are all future World Champions. Women's wrestling draws, so can someone please tell Tony Khan?

So for a guy like Punk, who's spent his entire career being very anti-corporate, very anti-authority, to sell out and go full on corporate heel, THAT would be fucking compelling. That would be good shit! And I don't even like CM Punk! I'm not a fan! It's simple character motivation. #WrestleSky

So instead, it seems TO ME like WWE is going to tease having the guy who already wears suits everywhere turn into even MORE of a corporate champion than he already is, just to can turn around and have him double down on being a good guy, so fans stop rooting for him to turn heel. #WrestleSky

You know who this storyline would have worked incredibly well with, if the plan was actually to go through with a corporate heel turn? CM Punk. CM Punk is in that perfect phase of his career where he's still super over as a babyface, but also well known to be kind of old and over it. #WrestleSky

Think about who the big corporate sellout heel turns have been in the past. Stone Cold, The Rock, JBL, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens. All guys who you would never have imagined wearing a suit and selling out the fans for money before.

But that's literally already who Cody Rhodes is LOL #WrestleSky

I think the worst part of this is how tone deaf it is.

"Let's tease that we're gonna have our top babyface sell his soul and go corporate!"

Okay, but...it's Cody Rhodes. HAVE YOU SEEN HIM? Suits, tour bus, Michael Cole always spouting pro-Cody propaganda? He's already corporate af 😂 #WrestleSky

Maybe Cody gets down on one knee and swings his arm back like he's going to do a low blow behind the ref's back - but then he doesn't. Because THIS Cody refuses to sell his soul, refuses to turn heel. And then he'll win anyway. Because that's who this Cody is now. Less fun Super Cena. #WrestleSky

Cody will probably defend his title against either Cena or Punk at WM, both huge fan favorites in WWE, and guys that would be primed for Cody to turn heel against. And I bet there'll be a huge moment in the match too, where he has an opportunity to cheat - maybe even an ROH throwback. #WrestleSky

So I think that's what this is. Dwayne is coming in YET AGAIN to help re-ignite fan passion towards WWE's golden boy. Cody just isn't an interesting enough character to stand on his own for very long, so he needs support to prop him up similar to how Roman used to in the late 2010s. #WrestleSky

This goes back years, back to AEW even. Cody Rhodes has a Homelander-esque desire to be liked by everyone. He wants to be a role model for kids. He REFUSES to turn heel. He wouldn't in AEW when he was getting BOOED IN THE PROMOTION HE BUILT! He won't do it in WWE if he can help it. #WrestleSky

This entire inclusion of Dwayne into the Cody WM title defense is going to be a misdirection to get people who are convinced of (or even ROOTING FOR) Cody's imminent heel turn to want him to NOT to sell his soul and become "corporate Cody".

I'm convinced it was never in the plans! #WrestleSky

Last year, Rock was used to get the crowd fired up at wanting Cody to finish his story.

THIS YEAR Rock is being used to get the crowd fired up at wanting Cody to STAY BABYFACE.

There's been some buzz for a couple months now that Cody should, or is going to, turn heel.

IMO, unlikely. #WrestleSky

They used The Rock's potential insertion into the match to maintain fan interest in Cody finishing his story. I know I remember very distinctly, fans were starting to get bored with Cody before that Rock segment.

Here's the thing though: they're doing it AGAIN this year, just tweaked! #WrestleSky

Seri Yamaoka had an incredible debut. MIRAI was also fantastic in that match. I loved the grappling and striking.

I'm really hoping that Kouki's injury isn't one that'll require surgery to repair. A simple sprain or strain would be painful enough, but a torn ligament would be worst case scenario.
