In a political party of human embarrassments, Tuberville quietly stands out. If I didn’t despise him so intensely I’d feel sorry for him.

Old guy here with decades of cycling, running, walking, and driving on my resume. The “accident” usage infuriates me. It’s not 1950 - axles don’t break, wheels don’t separate, steering assemblies don’t fail. 40K Americans die annually because operators of dangerous machines are selfishly careless.

DJT has forever trashed the affection I’ve had for the noun “misfit.” What a sick man.

These people are an ongoing embarrassment - developmental adolescents in charge of serious matters. Treasury, Pentagon, HHS, Interior, DHS - lord help us.

Just shared this image with some friends. Unbelievable.

As reasonable an explanation I’ve seen so far.

Yes, it is.

Excellent post, sir.

For the same reason Republicans couldn’t pronounce Kamala - adolescent condescension when you have nothing else to say.

I live in New Orleans intentionally - retired and I love living in south LA. This Johnson creature is an abomination to rational people, and his unsuitability for serious public leadership is obvious. Check his bio, you’ll see what I mean - a midget in a giant’s chair.

Lara Trump’s “rendition” will haunt me for eternity. Cats fighting, nails on chalkboards, and ungreased hinges are all preferable sonic alternatives.

God knows that’s the case in my household.

We might want to revisit your already measured call of 20 combined wins for our pro franchises this year. Lord, this is bleak.
September 21, 2025 at 10:05 PM
Yes, and yes again. It would be hilarious if we weren’t all the eventual victims - the bombast hides the incompetence that’s diminishing the quality of citizenship/life for all but the oligarchs.

But I loved her first!

Excellent post - Amen. I live in New Orleans, and the ports on the lower Mississippi River were burned by lost volume during T’s first trade lunacy episode, and here we go with round two. Consequences of foolishness are usually painful.

SC native here and this is the first concern for a disappeared furniture industry in our state I’ve ever heard. Textile mills were offshored, sure - but furniture was NC’s bag, not ours. It’s great having knowledgeable folks steering the global economy.

Wright Thompson’s “The Barn” should be required reading.

Brought a smile here. Excellent post, my friend.

PBS is a truth-teller, as dangerous to this administration as CRT or liberal arts education. Frontline, American Experience, the Burns documentaries, all tell the story of “America” in its process of becoming, and that’s anathema to these insecure bigots. Carry on, PBS. We’ll help.

Hate seeing this, but I understand. Best to you down the road.
July 17, 2025 at 4:43 PM
Yes, and yes again. Saw the show last year for the first time, and didn’t know whether to gag or acknowledge that we’re done.

Poor SOB is mighty proud of his “Thank you for your attention to this matter” contribution to political/business discourse in the English language. I’m seventy-two, retired from corporate business, and I’d never heard it before. The best words, he’s got them.

And please stop telling me it’s raining when I can see you urinating on my leg.

Some of us speak for the caramel.
