Thanks, and yeah, all good here 🙂
I don't get much joy out of Bluesky (dunno why not), so I'm just a fly-by poster here.
Hope things are good for you. Might you get chance to cook something to show at Nova next year?

💯
@kebby.org's doc is amazingly thorough - and must thank his brief, judicious eyeballing of a scene to ensure we were on track from a technical POV.
And of course, plenty of material in previous years' entries.

NO excuses 😄

Your themes are so inspiring, and that Three Dee competition is an *absolute gem*. Multiply them together and I haven't figured out why it didn't get many submissions this time.
Roll on next year - I hope it pulls in a bountiful crop of entries again 🙏

Mostly every week, on a Monday, 8pm or 9pm UK-time for an hour.
People in the streams channel of the Field-FX Discord will be happy to help with onboarding 🙂

You should join us for TIC-80 or shader coding on a @field-fx.party Monday Night Bytes some time? 🙂

It's hard to make out, but I'm almost certain that's Sonic Pi.
Sam, the author, has an introductory course, which I'd recommend. It currently has a discount: sonic-pi.net
Sonic Pi - The Live Coding Music Synth for Everyone
Sonic Pi is a new kind of instrument for a new generation of musicians. It is simple to learn, powerful enough for live performances and free to download.

We got placed! 🥉
Happy with that. There were some other strong entries.
We had good tech in this one, but I think it's fair to say it was beaten on art design.
Lots of friendship on the podium and we all know that's the real prize! 😄

Ha, fun! Good work.
I've taken my eye off Presto for now. You probably spotted some code to rotate the numbers and frame geometry, etc... I'll get back to it, but if you can find a way to make it show this data with a sensor linked- but not crash without it, then that'd be nice to bring into main?

#ByteJamuary 7: Print - making text pop!

TIC-80's text has a very distinctive clunky look. Here are a few ways you can smooth it out...

And a nudge to check out some of EvilPaul's fine work!

#ByteJamuary 6: Fifty stories tall. Striding through the land...

MODULO!

Value wrapping in percentage clothing - It looks like % but loops your values. What's it good for? Plenty!

A couple of options for running time through your code.

#ByteJamuary 4: "Sin and Cos - Magic? No, Even Better: Trigonometry!"

The secret sauce already! These two give the smoothest, gentlest movements - organic and complex.
Absolute heroes.

#ByteJamuary 3: "Aliases - Keep it snappy"

Lua allows you to assign functions to variables and this trick will keep your maths code tidier!

(I did briefly release this as part of Day 2 yesterday, but decided I was better off splitting it!)
