In my youth (I'm 60) some of us chose precarious careers in the arts, etc. But we chose those careers and understood the implications. Most didn't. Now everyone seems to be stuck with the same insecurity as going into acting.

I sometimes feel the need to apologize that some of us are JD Vance.

I work in GI and have occasionally been treated to slide shows of patient's poops while they explain why they think something is wrong. Now they can just upload the images to their patient portal!

How long will this livestream need to last to determine anythings effects on "longevity"?

100% agree on the first act, not so much on the second act. I ran spotlight for a production in Pittsburgh back in 1987 and enjoyed watching the first act every time.

Yes, although reality now makes the show seem almost tame.

To be fair, he did say "Give ME liberty..." not " give everybody liberty"

Once you have all the guns, some people really just need to finally use them.

I work in GI and recently discovered the existence of "beef organ" supplements. Because we are not consuming enough cow pancreas? So many suckers among us.

He just needs to take more of the beef organ supplements. A lack of cow pancreas in the diet can be debilitating.

I believe Space:1999 was essentially a spin off of UFO.

I went to Carnegie Mellon for drama in the 80s, and it amazing how many of us eventually wound up in other fields, but the creative problem solving plus practical skills taught in an art program easily translated into almost anything else.

The GI practice where I work only uses prescription preps, but I personally have used Golytely and then mag citrate preps which both worked fine. But the consensus is a more consistently superior prep with the prescription ones, but more hassle for everyone.

Poor substitute for a colonoscopy every 5 to 10 years. Cologuard maybe, if really average risk.
July 21, 2025 at 2:54 PM
Actually the 12 ounce prescription preps are much better and easier, but sometimes insurance is an issue.

I wish my chimney could clean itself as well as the human colon.

It is weird for a provider to have no problem prescribing it and then suddenly change. I would ask them for details on why. And definitely they should continue to prescribe until you can see the other provider.

I was a nurse in a burn unit in NYC for a decade, and although firework injuries were not too common in the city I never ceased to be amazed and the inventive ways people found to injure and kill themselves. Adding alcohol to the mix always made it easier.

I suspect Steven Miller understands this and so of course he won't be deterred by public opinion; he doesn't care and knows he needs to just push full speed ahead to get as many brown people out as possible.

33 year olds are performing surgery, leading soldiers into battle, managing large groups of people in multiple settings, and otherwise making life and death decisions all the time.

I almost want to move back into the city just to vote against Cuomo.
