Reveler in words, sounds, images, nature, history, science, facts. Food. Flâneur. Probably reads too much. In and out of airplane mode. Grateful for all the wise, sane, informative, inspiring people here.
I was bequeathed tons of hand-me-down records as a kid, but this album was the first record I bought with my own money. On the last day of that particular school year, my music teacher asked us to bring in a record from home to share with everyone. “Heart of Glass” = instant elementary school cred.

And kudos to George for coming up with that brilliant guitar phrase, which really makes that tune especially memorable!

My guess:

Either those readers just empathize w Mrs. Dalloway over other Woolf protagonists or they simply haven’t read that far into her oeuvre.

It is a good gateway book for the uninitiated. I recommend it, but then add that my personal favorites are *Between the Acts* and *To the Lighthouse*.

I also recommend Harry Blamires *The Bloomsday Book* for contextual support.

Said pot to kettle …

I no longer find any leading-edge analysis or reporting on any of these once-respectable media sites … tho I do always appreciate the occasional(free) crossword puzzle.

Ignore the theater.
We are winning. They are desperate.

Sounds phenomenal!

Keep in mind: you can never insult a squirrel. I will say my prayers for you.

I have never grown corn! I’ve usually been spoiled by hardworking local farmers. What’s your plan there?

Are you growing corn back there?

Always bought lp and cassette. My original tape (“relic”) from 40 years ago:
