On top of that there’s the point of the cultural flattening effects of big media. I want regional spice, I want representation. I want to have to google stuff like Loki’s line in the Avengers or the torch fairy’s line in BG3 Act 2. There’s nothing interesting with The Worst One rehashed four times.

You don’t even see 70% of your own customizations during gameplay. They’re for player grind incentive and for boasting to other players. They don’t affect your gameplay experience.
