While I'd definitely like to see the curse broken and a film adaptation of A CONFEDERACY OF DUNCES happen, I'll confess that I'd be at least as interested in a NAKED LUNCH-or ADAPTATION-style "adaptation." If none of that's feasible, heck, maybe a Rotoscoped Bakshi-style extravaganza.

Not saying MAD LOVE is the best horror movie of its time, but I think we can all agree that most movies, horror or otherwise, would be improved by the presence of disturbingly lifelike waxworks and a mad doctor or two.

The vaults are full of good concepts with poor execution, quirky and ragged joys with loyal fan bases, and decent stuff released at the wrong time. Maybe try some of those.
