New News of Thoth: This afternoon I left the back door open and Thoth went outside. I expected him to be gone until he came back to the front door. However, Thoth came back into the house and jumped up for some rubbings. Thoth coming in the BACK door on his own is huge progress.

Thoth Maukat is back inside after his week-long walkabout. He was not happy about being inside initially, but he quickly got accustomed to it as he was warm with lots of food and cuddles. He slept with me on my bed last night.

Thoth has gone walkabout. It's not the first time. Last time he was gone for several weeks. He was a stray for more than a year before I rescued him, so I'm sure he knows how to survive outside. I hope he will come home soon.
