(Ironically it’s obvious Trump, a born billionaire, is part of the establishment and status quo ppl are resenting)

You touched on a good point on the media’s role. The status quo doesn’t serve the average person anymore, they yearn for an anti establishment figure who isn’t a conventional careerist politician. That’s why ppl are drinking MAGA’s and reform’s poisonous kool aid. The media reinforced Trump as that.

Look at the leaders of the dems in America, lost two elections in the last three they should’ve won and have blamed their own voter base, external factors, and everyone but themselves.

I think it isn’t stemming from the average progressive person, that narrative is being created because the leadership of parties that are supposed to be progressive are elitist and out of touch with their voterbase.

This is why philosophy, liberal arts, and other humanities will be more appreciated again. Critical thinking and reading literacy in an AI world are imperative. Ppl need technical skills AND philosophical skills.

The culture on threads wasn’t great because it just imported it from Instagram, and the app features sucked tbh.

I hope bluesky is here to stay, so many useful features, a steadily growing user base, keeps the best parts people missed about Twitter but it feels fresh with the innovative starter packs, control over your own algorithm, and decentralisation.
