Today’s comprehensive defeat was bittersweet in some ways, as it was a pleasure to watch a Kashiwa side energized by Ricardo Rodriguez’s management. If we’d appointed him at Yokohama FC last winter, he’d have this group of players safely in mid-table. His brand of football is so fluid & stylish.

Coupled with Yokohama Marinos’ win over Hiroshima (where was their repertoire of play-acting & referee-harassing when they actually needed it??!), it feels like relegation back to J2 is inevitable.

Really disappointing, but we have been our own worst enemies in 2025. So many points thrown away.
