I'm inclined to be hopeless when I consider the state of the world climate and political BS. But then I see a new baby or a person whose committing their business to charity. Or the kindness of those who work in the care system. Or even someone who steps back at the checkout to let the old lady go.

Okay. I have to defend legit media. Most wealthy countries have an independent state broadcaster. These entities: BBC, NPR, CBC, all function with public money, but no censorship. They are arms-length broadcasters the government doesn't own. The people owns them and they tell the truth.

In my home province, there is a lovely program that invites moms with new babies to come into primary and elementary schools regularly for months. The moms and babies embody empathy and love. The kid who come out of those classes are kinder, smarter and more understanding. It's proven.

I feel sorry for North American journalists. Most...at least the many I know...want to tell the truth and inform the public. But the owners of their companies can force them to toe whatever line they want because the workers need those jobs. Public broadcasters are vital to democracy.

Just reading details on what would be a massive scandal in a normal government. The US defense puppets revealed their war plans to a journalist, then called the reporter an incompetent liar. I wonder why media members don't sue these guys for defamation.

DEI stands for diversity, equity and inclusion. That means people of all backgrounds deserve equal opportunities to live and work in society. It doesn't mean white men get to erase women and people of colour from history. Most thinking humans understand DEI is a GOOD thing.

Setting the "news" straight for today. Yes, it's a coup and he's a dictator. Yes, the republicans are Russian assets. No, there are no "negotiations" on the Russian war in Ukraine because Putin just has to leave the country it invaded. Anything else is rewarding Putin for his crimes.
