Nothing is being done about it and no consequences are given to the policies that are doing these types of things.

This film caused frustration to me because although this movie was filmed in 1989 scenes like this are still happening all the time and is now becoming the norm seeing a new police brutality story popping up in the news or social media feed.

During the scene no music was being played to display the realism of what really happens in the real world. To convey the chaos that was happening to get into the audience's emotions.

All the camera work done gave a feeling to the audience of the power hierarchy there is in society where the whites were seen as the ones in control and most power while the black people were seen as helpless and inferior.

During the scene we saw close ups and high angle shots looking down at raheem to show the dominance and overpowering the police had on him.

Once the police got involved the police sided with sal and racial profiled raheem as a threat because he was a black man. During the chokehold of the police and raheem you can see close up camera work on raheem face as he was being choked showing the struggle of not being able to breathe.

My immediate emotion is frustration because of the scenes we saw where radio raheem is killed by the police due to refusing to turn down his boombox. Him refusing to turn down the boombox led to him having a physical altercation with Sal resulting in cops being involved.
