From the looks of them, not many could do anything requiring physical exertion. This pic reinforces one of the points latest episode of South park nailed: a big part of the expansion of "law enforcement" is just to provide welfare for loser bullies.

I was travelling this week and a man sitting near me in the terminal was telling his wife not to plug her charger into an electrical outlet due to malware. She kept telling him that it wasn't a problem but didn't plug her charger in anyway.

They're scared because they know they don't deserve what they have. A true meritocracy would benefit the hard workers, the intelligent, and the empathetic. That's not them and they know it.
