This semester I had a group project that required us to build a software product. My group decided to make an iOS fitness app and I handled the workout tracker. I still have a few weeks left but I’m pretty happy with where it’s at so far. 1/2

I made Quit Clock as my first app to learn iOS development and to track my personal sobriety. I know the space is crazy saturated and the app is pretty simple so I’m blown away when anyone other than my mom downloads it! 1/2

My first app, Quit Clock: Kick Bad Habits, is now in the App Store for all iOS 26 users! I spent a long time bouncing from one tutorial to another before deciding I just needed to make something and stick it through.

Took some time over the last two days to work on my iOS app QuitClock. I finally have it in a place where I feel ready enough to submit to the App Store. Curious how the process will go and whether or not I missed anything. #buildinpublic #iosdev

School is back in session. Personal projects might slow down but the good news is one of my group projects will be an iOS app.

Added quite a bit to the app over the last few days. Ability to reset the quit date to the current date. A detail view that shows days, weeks, months, and years since quitting. And alerts to confirm before deleting or resetting. #buildinpublic #iosdev

Battling Xcode-beta crashing every 5 minutes in order to see iOS 26 changes…there’s gotta be a better way.

I added sorting to my app today. Debating whether to add more before submitting or keep v1.0 simple. #buildinpublic #iosdev

Over the last month or so I’ve been building my first iOS app using SwiftUI. Now that I finally have a developer account, it is on my phone for testing! #buildinpublic

I caught a bad case of tutorial fatigue. I’ve spent the last year or so jumping from one course to another, always ending up even more overwhelmed. So, I’m taking a break to build something on my own. Digging through documentation and articles to claw my way to a finished product. To be continued…

So, I just finished Day 5 of @twostraws.bsky.social #100DaysOfSwift. I figured since I didn't get an internship I'd make the most of it and learn something that actually interests me. My goal is to keep at it and have at least one project complete before the fall. Here we go...

I built my first web app! It’s a simple running calculator to determine pace, time, or distance based on user input. I used Reflex since I was already comfortable with Python. It was a great learning experience overall.

First day of the semester. My courses are: Assembly Language, Database Systems, and Data Structures and Algorithms. Pretty stoked to have only CS courses from here on out.

Meanwhile, it’s raining. I can still see grass in my yard, and it’s January…in Alaska. What is even happening?

I will take it to my grave that Bad Religion’s Christmas Songs is the greatest Christmas album ever made.

Finding it difficult not to let squirrel-syndrome take over during winter break. Review past courses? Knock out some tutorials? Learn/practice DSA? Start a personal project - if so, which one, what framework, am I even ready???

I need to just focus on one thing.

The semester is officially over! It is a huge relief not having to take any more math or non-CS courses. I’m still unsure why I need to “prove” that the product of two consecutive integers is even…

Nothing but programming courses from here on out!

I’m so upset and regret any faith I placed in thinking Dear Santa was a good option for our first Xmas movie of the year. Should have stuck with a classic like Die Hard or The Muppet Christmas Carol.

Finals week…translates to: Did you actually manage to remember anything from the past 16 weeks?

It’s been over 14 years since I had to think about looking for a job, and I can’t wrap my head around why so much weight is put on LinkedIn. The idea of connecting with “professionals” sounds great. However, logging in always gives off a snake oil salesman kind of vibe.

Long-time lurker, first-time poster. I never said much on Twitter or Threads, but I am stoked to see how things have turned out here. I’m new to programming and look forward to learning from all the projects being shared. So, I guess this is hello!
