I’m sorry you felt that. There’s been a spate of posts overstating the threat.
I’ve seen scotus described sinisterly as “meeting in secret.” Um, that’s how courts deliberate. 😊
ACB signaled this result in her interview. Undoing tens of thousands of marriages is much harder than overruling Roe.

It also has the stench of “sternly written letter” Schumer all over it.
Some of them simply lack the basic gumption to be in these positions during this nightmare.

Ah, so the condescension about “burden on constituents” and “reasonable choice” gives way to raw triangulation. Got it.

And for the Nevada Senators, it was same as always. Capitulation to the Trump base out of fear for their own ability to have a multi-decade Senate career.

Eight Democratic-caucusing Senators, most with one foot already out the door, betrayed their furious colleagues and rendered the entire exercise pointless by getting nothing.
Plus that twit Fetterman as usual.

Sorry I dropped out during his self-indulgent recitation of his biography before getting to the buried fact that there’s no story here.

True, I dropped out somewhere in the self-indulgent recitation of his own biography before getting to the part where he’s already some random senior judge taking retirement. Thanks for the toxic correction, though. 🙄

Creating a vacancy for Trump to fill with another unqualified extremist outweighs any meager benefit of this “speaking out.”

Unclear how being Black, a woman, or a disgruntled former user somehow justifies the histrionics of this offensive piece. Neither does trying to drape it in vacuous anti-capitalist pablum.
Shorter: “Pharma company advertising is bad because I had withdrawal symptoms once, and I’m a Black woman.” 🙄

When will @monacharen apologize for repeatedly celebrating AIDS as a great way to force gay men to somehow turn straight—she allegedly knew lots of “ex-gays”—and marry women to satisfy her vacuous bigotry?

I’m glad to see the prediction of a primary challenger for Schumer.
I doubt I’m far from alone in saying I will never cast another vote for Schumer. And his petulance in the NYC mayor’s race destroyed any credibility to demand a vote out of party unity.
The party runs him again at its own risk.

But, hey, don’t listen to me. I have a 🏳️🌈 in my username, so I imagine I’ve been instantly thrown into your “far left” category with toxic bile.

Because sometime soon Schumer is going to want progressives to vote for a milquetoast moderate who gets the party’s nomination somewhere. Only now he has exactly zero credibility to urge party unity despite policy disagreements.
He’s utterly failed at task #1 as a party leader.
