most bus stops in my state outside of the immediate urban core look something like this. installing a shelter, bench, and sidewalk at every bus stop in the country would be a rounding error for the 1% but that would require affirming that people who use the bus are human beings deserving of dignity.

hard to see how @cityofgreensboro.bsky.social expects to become a "car-optional" city but can't do the most basic street maintenance. this pile of debris has been blocking the eastbound bike lane on Spring Garden at Mendenhall for well over a month and the service request portal doesn't work.
