After leaving FL: by the time we got to Atlanta on 85, Jeanne was inland & hitting. Only real visibility my dad had driving was from tail lights on tractor trailers.

We tapped out at a Travelodge in Spartanburg that night.

Being a young kid, it was my first time seeing that level of destruction

Flood/surge mark was just inches from the garage ceiling. The parked vehicle in said garage had a fridge sticking through the front windshield

The damage / downed trees along the highway in southern Alabama was equally insane

I'd much rather get food from a gas station over McDonalds at this point

Sheetz can be pricey too but it evens out with the earned points for gas savings or other freebies.

They tore down the solarium at the Wendys on 29 in Concord last year or early this year i think (for a new building next store where the old BP was)

Not sure if they redid the one in Kannapolis at exit 60, that one was unique with tons of Earnhardt related paintings & renderings everywhere

Millbridge

(not counting NCQMA, or the temporary ATV layout at the Rowan County Fairgrounds)

yes, it's easy to get sucked in a rabbit hole now, but

Flo actually does a good job trying to cross promote their content

FOX/NBC on the other hand hyperfocuses on singular properties (or) cost cutting so much now that it inflames beef between their own fanbases (IndyCar v. NHRA, IMSA v. NASCAR)

To me it's more on the "big series / big network TV side" always trying to divide & conquer the overall racing fanbase over the last 25 years.

The perfect example being FOX's NASCAR main pre-race show (prior to the 600) shitting all over the Indy 500 in 2013 because the lack of GWC's

Pro Mod has the September TBA, so I'd expect them being on the card. Apparently we'll know on Monday

if the FIA actually followed their license pts rules on graded tracks (re: Herta in '22/'23)

Then the only NXS race that would even count is Portland

Cup has 0 layouts w/ current FIA cert. CoTA & AHR = only F1 GP config graded

Trucks ran classic LRP so that's voided too (GP cert lapsed in July)

like I'd love to have Fiber internet

I don't see having access in the next 10 years, let alone 5

And I've done plenty of deliveries in spots that will be forgotten about totally

Its like cell phone coverage. I only had decent signal for a year. Then they killed 3g band & it's shitty again

Considering folks have to pay extra to even have priority of it being installed on their roads, lol

Your missing the whole dang point

For folks in rural areas & those on a limited income? Not at all

if Spectrum didnt have broadband lines where I live, I'd be screwed.
November 4, 2025 at 5:20 PM
Okay, and that still doesn't get around AT&T + Comcast having data caps on most of their subscribers

I love Superview on YouTube personally, but streaming isn't for everybody

Exclusive blocks out a huge portion of NASCAR's fan base, in the same way F1 is doing with Apple
November 4, 2025 at 5:15 PM
Blocking out folks who can't justify streaming due to poor connection or costs is not the way

My uncle can only watch the Xfinity Series essentially for example

Can't even pick up NBC due to poor signal as it's a low power channel in the Binghamton market
