The main point I'm making is that, typical of anything he does, he didn't look at facts. Under the Choice program, for example, waiting times for appointments was 1 to 3 months in a large military city, down from 9 to 12 months at the VA. Granted 1 to 3 is bad, but compared to what was in place?

He decided that not reauthorizing the program and tossing it back to the VA was a good idea. COVID hit, and no one anywhere was getting appointments. The issue was the VA Mental Health department was understaffed when the program began. It got worse as more providers retired or left.

Jesse, I'm so sorry to have to say this, but I got to see first hand what Trump did to our veterans.The Choice program was set up in record time, had its teething pains, but was starting to get vets MH benefits w/non VA providers. It was administered by a 3rd party vendor. Then came Trump.
