I'm not saying any of those things are bad. I'm saying that in the face of an impending fascist takeover they did nothing to prevent or address what was happening. No real legal opposition to the fascists, no effort at all to shore up our courts that were stacked to enable the takeover, and so on.

I specifically mentioned things, what is there to elaborate on? You're just having a cry baby fit because you can't accept reality. The dems only great accomplishment has been to hand out crumbs to placate their base and stymie real progress while keeping their oligarch donor masters power intact.

The Democrats didn't just passively enable the Republicans fascist takeover. They helped lay the groundwork. You refusing to grasp the facts because you'd prefer to cheer for your team is just sad. Grow up.

They didn't do anything even when they did have power. The deportations, family separations, and concentration camps began under Obama. It was Obama who first murdered an american citizen without trial. Biden and Kamala were tripling over themselves to outdo republicans on being tough on immigrants.

They didn't do anything to prevent this while they were in power. They fed and enabled this. Your unwillingness to accurately account for their failings is why they are able to continually refuse to act, or to act in lockstep with the oligarchs, without consequence.

When people say mass effect had good writing I want to fucking explode. First one was bearable because the setting was cool and the game was fun. The second was so bad I couldn't force myself to keep playing. Video game writers have such a low bar

Kinda seems like the state of democracy is because people are uninformed, apathetic, easily misled, never developed critical thinking skills, and poorly educated. Everyone deserves the right to vote but adding more rubes to the bucket isn't going to change our outcomes much

I'm sorry to say, but they are not rising up one bit at all in the slightest. Permitted standing around holding signs and then going home is, under no circumstances, rising up. Americans are sitting by while fascists take over and accomplish all their goals

Yes, it's a very easy and correct judgement to make. People like you are stuck rigidly on the theoretical and think purity testing is some magical key to a better world. That you can't see the value in fighting to protect your home and people from fascists says volumes about you.
