Education professor, teacher educator, and historian. Personal account.
Was also watching MNF, 15 years old, huge Beatles fan. Weird to think back from a 2025 media saturation vantage point. Remember sitting in my room, in my own head, staring at my Beatles posters. Sorry to hear you went through that with your mom, Josh.

Ardmore outside Philly was much larger than I expected, with constant honking horns from passing cars. #NoKings

Everyone should read this to see what our useless Democratic “leaders“ are most likely doing here. And call senators to demand they not cave on cloture, which is the only leverage they have.

As a constituent, I appreciate what you've been doing and saying. But I'm deeply disappointed by the caucus. We need creativity and urgency. Last night should have been a sea of empty seats with a mass of D's in front of microphones nearby, with guest speakers whose lives are being ruined.

"Relentlessly" is key. Republicans fight and defeat Democrats by using these messaging tactics with fake or exaggerated scandals; Democrats are unwilling to do the same with real emergencies. Infuriating.

We can debate procedural strategies, but the deeper frustration out here is that elected D’s don’t project urgency or fight. Republicans drive narratives and build power with daily noise on camera and stunts about fake scandals and outrage; we fail to do the same with actual national emergencies.
