That’s clearly 50% of a breakfast, the missing 50% being a cup of black coffee. I know this because this was my standard breakfast for over two decades.

Save us, o Lord, from your irrational followers. And while you’re at it, dear Lord, have a word with Muhammad and Abraham about their irrational followers. Amen.

Fill up a clean pet food can with the beans, then eat some of those beans with a spoon in front of company. I did so in front of my kids and the reactions were priceless.

It’s likely never going away. The direct ancestors of MAGA have existed in America since the very beginning. These ancestors brought us the Civil War, the KKK, Jim Crow, and now MAGA. It will probably always be with us…the trick will be to get them to crawl back into the shadows again.

Did Chaplin borrow this from Roscoe Arbuckle? Arbuckle did a very similar ‘roll dance’ routine in one of his films that predates ‘The Gold Rush’ by a few years.

Lee is not only a hypocrite, but he lacks empathy, is dishonest, and has diminished critical thinking skills. In other words, he has the qualities of all too many fundie Christians.

Like all too many Christians, Dinesh is not a big fan of the 9th Commandment.

I think the best place to look for this guy is in closets. Most, if not all, rabid homophobes hide in the deeper recesses of closets.

Haha! Once again, you clearly didn’t read the study that you posted previously, and that last ‘source’ is devoid of citations.
The only truly verified miracle of the Catholic Church is that it’s still in business after shelling out over $3b (in the U.S. alone!) to settle sexual abuse charges.

Furthermore, there’s probably the same amount of scientific evidence for Jesus’ existence as there is for the existence Zeus, Odin, Set, Ahura Mazda, Kali, Inanna, and the countless other gods conjured up by humanity’s history…and that amount is none.
June 9, 2025 at 5:42 AM
Did you even bother to read the link/article you posted? I did. I’m guessing you didn’t read it, as it concluded that the ‘miracle wafers’ were most likely the result of fungal and bacterial growth and the initial testing methods utilized by the church/clergy were severely flawed.

Your ‘proof’ has no sources or citations. It’s unsubstantiated nonsense, much like the Bible.
Ritualized, symbolic cannibalism is just plain weird, Edith.
June 9, 2025 at 1:47 AM
Haha! There isn’t even any empirical evidence that Jesus even existed. Not a single word is known to have been written about him during his alleged lifetime. I find that a bit odd, considering all those publicly displayed miracles occurred in the relatively literate society of ancient Judaea.
June 9, 2025 at 1:38 AM
Sure, Edith. God/Jesus, allegedly the most powerful being(s) in the universe, can’t fight for himself. That makes perfect sense.
By the way, Edith; can you present any empirical evidence for the actual existence of god and/or his son Jesus? Since they’re omnipresent, it should be pretty easy.

Interesting little meme that you chose for your post, Edith…a menacing-looking crusader decked out in armor, armed with an implement of violence. Thanks for reminding everyone of the violent history of religion in general and of Christianity in particular.

What discourages me is the millions of people who support Trump. These people will still be around after Trump is not. Like Trump himself, his followers are impervious to facts, reality, and logic. The table has been set for the next Trump…even a series of Trumps. My optimism is beginning to fade.
June 1, 2025 at 3:29 PM
The Bible, of course. Oh, wait…you said ‘non fiction’…then I guess it would be “The Art of the Deal”. Oh, shit…that’s fiction as well. Okay, I’m going with “On the Origin of Species” by a guy named Charles Darwin. I’ve read it twice. Definitely a non fiction masterpiece that got me thinking…
