Can #vim work well with #rust these days, LSP stuff, etc. (not neovim)? Anybody has any recommendation?

Everything I see points at nvim, but I don't want to switch and spend time configuring it if I can avoid it. Also tried astronvim but it would take quite some time to configure it to my liking.
