But she can’t collect her $8,400 a year until she’s 62.
November 22, 2025 at 11:15 PM
For 5 years of service, she’d get $8,400 a year.
November 22, 2025 at 11:14 PM
$8,400 a year to be exact.
November 22, 2025 at 11:13 PM
It’s not much. For 5 years in office, it’s $8,400 a year.
November 22, 2025 at 11:11 PM
For her after 5 years, it’s $8,400 a year and she can’t collect until she’s 62. The 80% is under the old system if you served 30+ years, and you don’t get social security or 401k matching funds.
November 22, 2025 at 11:10 PM
Yeah, but it’s only $8,500 a year, and she can’t collect until she’s 62. So it’s more than that.
November 22, 2025 at 11:06 PM
But you have to pay for it. I was paying $800 a month for self plus one high coverage on Blue Cross, plus co-pays. She has/had the same options for under the FEHBP.

Not sure about the 1.7%. Fed pensions are 1% per year of service.
November 22, 2025 at 7:59 PM
Agreed. It’s more than the paltry pension she can’t touch for 10+ years.
November 22, 2025 at 6:55 PM
Nope. I was a fed for 31 years and my pension worked out to 34% of my highest salary (if you have more than 30 years in, you get 1.1%). Congressional pensions are the same as federal. It’s the AVERAGE of the 3 highest years, not total.
November 22, 2025 at 6:32 PM
1 percent per year of service of the average of her 3 highest years, like any other Fed. Five percent of 174,000 is $8,700
November 22, 2025 at 6:22 PM
Eh. She doesn't get her $6,500/yr pension (that's what you get for 5 years served) until she turns 62. There's something more here.
November 22, 2025 at 2:37 PM
But not much, about $6,500 (1% per year served of salary of $160K). And she can't collect until she's 62.

Death threats, starting a new party, or...what? Mental breakdown?

I always knew she was a performance artist. It's all an act.

Not true.

Joe McDoakes! Played by George O’Hanlon, who was the voice of George Jetson. Cartoon confluence!

No, you do your own experiments to prove it wrong, not just argue.

Baby Bottleneck?
Another one with a stock complaining about it.

So how many references are there to Eddie Cantor in WB cartoons? My fave is Farm Frolics when the horse "does a cantor (canter)."
