Aka lurkingKing on Elon’s crazy space. Lots of Connecticut and UConn stuff. I’ve run a race in all 169 Connecticut towns.

The love of the game at UConn. Before, eating in Storrs, everyone in the restaurant was crowded by TV watching Maryland/Bama women’s finish. Gampel was packed. Most of men’s team was here to root on Paige & Co. and it was Paige’s night. She took over. It was Paige Pavilion.

Storrs tonight.

F anyone who said Biden’s preemptive pardons were a bad idea. Orange Hitler and his followers are a cult who will destroy democracy.

The final town I ran a race in was North Haven, Connecticut. Indeed, a very typical Connecticut suburb, I enjoyed those final familiar miles.
February 8, 2025 at 7:09 AM
Newtown, Connecticut. 168/169. I always call this the largest rural town in the state.
February 8, 2025 at 7:07 AM
Town 167. Wolcott, Connecticut. Did a race around the reservoir in the autumn which was super colorful.
February 8, 2025 at 7:05 AM
Norfolk, Connecticut. Fairly small place that absolutely pops off in the autumn. Couple of good hiking spots and a nice but small town center around its green. 166/169
February 8, 2025 at 7:03 AM
Town 165. Monroe, Connecticut.
February 8, 2025 at 7:00 AM
Fairfield, Connecticut. Dense but not crowded. This is not too busy a place but much to see and do. Pretty ideal “train town”. Town 164.
February 8, 2025 at 6:59 AM
Waterford, Connecticut. Some of the most scenic shore access in the state. 163/169
February 8, 2025 at 6:56 AM
Town 162, Granby, Connecticut. A lot going on for a small town. Much to explore.
February 8, 2025 at 6:55 AM
Windsor, Connecticut. 161/169. Hidden gem for history buffs. Most of the town is right by Connecticut or Farmington River. I’d say one of most underrated places in the state.
February 8, 2025 at 6:53 AM
Town 160, Old Saybrook, Connecticut. This was the first Europeans saw this state. If not for the Connecticut River having a giant sandbar, would likely be on of the country’s first large settlements. Still scenic today where river and ocean meet.
