Interesting move. I dabbled in Brave, but it's pretty bloated out the gate until you turn off rewards, crypto crap, and customize the heck out of the UI.

I thought the FF interface was bad with the Pocket icon by default, but Brave is so much worse in that regard (like someone said, hold my beer!)

Cosmic a lot of potential, I play around with it in Arch once in a while.

In other news, your Google ads on the site are awful. I don’t need any bogus muscle growth supplements with a tiny X close button on it 🤣

Even if we don't make the Super Bowl, I'm happy with this season. Wonderful coaches, players, and attitudes all around this season 👏

I totally get the cynicism on this, but it's not justified, all short-sighted and mean spirited. She sounds willing to have a conversation with folks, coming hot out the gate with threats shows people's true colors. Respect each other's property rights, and work together as neighbors.

I don’t believe they do. I fire it up periodically, but a lot of the requests made haven’t been implemented, like customization of the toolbar, it’s very limited. FF checks a lot of boxes for me, even if it is a little slower.

Agreed, there are some good forks. Plus pocket is easy enough to turn off. I want to like Brave, but it's so much more cluttered than Firefox.

So cool, glad to see these aren’t just available at physical stores in Sweden and Minnesota ☺️

I had the RH 5.2 sleeve (container?) and CD back in the 90s. Once we had a 56k modem and resumable downloads, we could split to floppies, and eventually burn ISOs to CDs 😆

I'm convinced the bandit came into this world that way 🙂

To your point about it's not for everyone. Truly agree there, it isn't, but it is worth a look instead of spending more money on new hardware, no matter a person's skill set. If the shoe fits.

Well said. I used to teach UNIX for a college, a small facet of folks who had never heard of Linux before, ended up dual booting or leaving Windows entirely on their home machines. They weren't even on the fence, but it just fit them so well 🙂 I know it's not typical, I loved hearing about this.

Oh, gosh yes. I live by one, and, while it's rich in history, that history is rooted deeply in racism and slavery, and land grabbing from natives by shoddy treaties disputed to this day.
