I don't mean hooking them up to one of these, but if more time and a cooling off-period cut down on divorces, why wouldn't being required to prove you've dated someone for a year+ reduce divorces under the same logic? People who spent more time might realize they're less compatible etc.

Its a cop-out. Every city/state in America has budgets that look like this, but the only time we become sticklers for the usage of tax-dollars is when its facilitating a divorce or a school district trying to expand it's bus routes. I don't accept that couples needing a division of assets is such--

Trying to time the market is almost universally a terrible move, you not only have to perfectly time when you exit the market, you have to perfectly time when to re-enter, which the best fund-managers on Wall St fail to do.

So glad you caught him! I had a feral-ish cat in my neighborhood who didn't seem to get along with any other cats. Thankfully one of my neighbors takes him in regularly. The more feral ones can sure be difficult.
