My main concern is the gen Z haircut, and yet somehow it's working for him.

Oh totally, it's only the fact he's clearly adept at getting the most out of a defensively set up team that makes me consider him at all. (And almost certainly biased because of Bielsa and HKTC).

Basically I'm annoyed, and Leeds made me annoyed.

I'll shut up now.

Plus the two most suited managers have already been snapped up.

The only person I could think would work is Corberan. And I've no idea how likely that'd be. (And I'll also admit I feel so out of the loop on managers and players beyond the obvious these days).

I always enjoy your takes as think we have similar ways of thinking about these things. Today was the first time I've properly considered Farke going, but agree on the whole. It's a horrible league and imagine we'd have done much better recently if it was 3 home and 1 away game

(Also the refs man)

This is so horribly frustrating to watch. We're not helping ourselves but christ some of these decisions are complete guesswork.

For me, it was watching this via stream, refreshing Bluesky and seeing it happened while Farke was point at his temples. I should know better by now.

You can leave the Marsch but the Marsch never leaves you

I remember I had talked myself into ending the game as a whole in March 2020. We were at a peak, everything else was getting worse. What better way to bow out than with an Ayling wonder goal.

Yeah this is the correct answer

When there's a O, Q or D on the bottom line...some people just want to watch the world burn.

So few people/organisations with so much money and power - all making quick and daft decisions, and what's it all for? Don't think it's for us anymore. At least, not in the way we want it to be.

(Negative spiral over, back to dreaming about the next time Ampadu and Tanaka are bossing a midfield)

This is where I was netting out yesterday. It's just so absurd and distant from daily life, and yet it's also everywhere and un-ignorable.

That's very different to being promoted despite him! He did his job as much as anyone else in the team and we went up.

And I think beyond Pablo you could argue no one was "pivotal" it was a monstrous team effort (by a remarkably small squad).

We got 93 points and he started 43/46 games. He absolutely contributed.

Presumably we're now due a Longstaff MCL announcement on Friday

There was a point where it felt like that was going to be our only escape. I don't think I've ever questioned my morals more than those days.

The Bates traumatised 2012 version of me is healing 🥲

It's sickening that these young lads now qualify for something which I associate with ex pros like Carl Shutt and Imre Varadi.

But also yes, I'm right here for it.

If we can get Snoddy out of retirement I'm right there with you
July 22, 2025 at 1:47 PM
I was convinced he played in the 2006 world cup

While simultaneously there just was just 3 very well prepared teams all survive their first season after promotion (at our expense), and the league's guaranteed most mediocre team given petro-funds. Scary how much the league has improved in a short space of time.
April 25, 2025 at 6:22 PM
Yep, quite frightening looking at the current bottom half of the PL right now and thinking, which of those is going down next season, if not us

Thank you Tommy
