An upside down flag signals distress.
Extrapolating to current politics, I’m wondering whether it is beliefs based more on prejudices (and not facts) when cognitive dissonance is truly present.

It’s prejudices and fears that trigger a more powerful emotional response.

Thank you for the reminder to watch. Relatives just described it as one of the best shows they’ve ever seen, and that the finale was incredible.

I really need people to understand that refusing to seat fascists is an antifascist act that protects democracy & is not the same as fascists refusing to seat antifascists to destroy democracy—in the same way that finding a guilty person guilty isn't the same as finding an innocent person guilty.

This. And the media still can’t see it! They continue to treat the lying-grifting-incompetent-antidemocratic GOP as valid.

Complex facts don’t matter anymore. Just a strong story/image to break through the noise. And this is powerful. 😡

I can’t wait to never give $ to centrist Dems again. This strategy has failed for years. Wake up.

This is how the right wing owns the narrative—facts are buried or inaccessible due to flooding us with constant shit. And the billionaire owned national media capitulates.

So why did the Vichy Democrats vote for the resolution to honor Kirk’s “life, leadership, and legacy”?
September 21, 2025 at 10:27 AM
It’s like honoring a member of the KKK. He said the exact same things.

Like the Trump regime, maybe news outlets want to hire morally bankrupt people for a reason?

This is absolute madness when ABC News airs Republican lies time after time without correction.

I’m concerned that it’s all a big con. Because the details get missed. They are lionizing him for their own purposes — and most people just listening to a few minutes of TV sound bites don’t get the full story.

Red Massachusetts has never been, and will never be, a thing. 😆

Also, I just got Covid for the first time, from my parents getting it while in rehab centers. Be careful.

My understanding is that it’s temporary because some states are tied (right now) to CDC guidelines. RFK Jr canceled the June meeting by firing everyone, and states are waiting for Sept 13 meeting.

Northeast states are actively trying to work around it.

Gov. Healey is from Massachusetts. NH has gone rogue *against* vaccines unlike the rest of the northeast.

It is a smoke screen. Harris (and Walz especially) did not use this language. They were plain spoken and look at the result.

The true problems we have are racial, gender, and other exclusionary concepts driving GOP hatred, and success in capturing a majority of white voters.

Oh that looks like a good rec, I’ll try that. Journee, Taren, and Rafe is a great cast.

Yes I got covid recently, and abandoned many shows in the beginning. 😅
