Hard agree. Much like "carcinization" leads many distinct animals to evolve towards crab shaped bodies, "casinozation" led many distinct game series towards the same casino like gameplay loops.

I was still happy with my 1060 up until 2y ago. I upgraded to an RX6600. Then changed out my i5-6500 to an i7-7700K for $80.
I built this PC 8y ago. It’s the PC of Theseus but honestly I still have no compelling reason to upgrade in the next couple years. I’m getting 50+ FPS at 1440p — I’m good.
