The Metro system here is great, as long as you live and work near a station. I'd have to drive and park to use it, and it would more than double my commute time. Anytime we go in to DC proper on a weekend we'll use the Metro, but that's only because parking in DC is a gamble.

Kellam here ('88), and the idea of anyone in VBCPS having a bad word to say about a cop of any stripe is just fucking wild. The city is ridiculously conservative thanks to Robertson's fundy infestation and they love them some cops.

Eh. This is what NIAP certified KVMs are for. I was using one at home during the early bit of COVID as it was a better option than buying a bigger house so I'd have room for another desk for a completely separate setup.

If Merriam-Webster were tracking UK usage, I'd still laugh at them for this, but at least they would be correct about the local vernacular. In North America if you want the short vowel sound, you put two consonants after the vowel. Like their own example.
