My oldest walked off the job at a restaurant when they told him to clean a bathroom where a patron did not know how to use the toilet and there was no sign like this to instruct him.
Now, in my day this was never necessary, but this generation, well, it's a sign.

No, it's a Chicago thing. Telephone numbers would use the first two letters of a word related to the neighborhood of the phone number. Gladstone would be 45. Thus, the number would be "453". We do not dial phones today, and we have not used the word as part of the phone number in 5 or 6 decades.
