Under Trump, the average length of time a child spends in immigration custody has increased dramatically.
In December 2024, the stay for a child in ORR custody was about two months.
By March of this year, it had nearly tripled.

This doesn’t work, as @tabouchadi.bsky.social wrote about again this weekend in re: 🇪🇺 mainstream parties & immigration: verfassungsblog.de/aus-dem-abse.... It backfires & makes the far right stronger. Democrats in 🇺🇸 need to get it together & stop defaulting to this bad strategy.
