I don't usually answer DMs so don't be surprised if it gets ignored.
What some of you aren't getting is the fact that Trump started a movement that drew people who traditionally didn't vote into the Republican party with his more insane takes. The GOP needs those votes to stay ahead, so they are afraid of pissing that group of their voters off and losing their jobs.

This is exactly how to hand more power to the right and completely isolate ourselves from the rest of the world in the long run. They may do it in the short term but it will kill what little credibility we have left on the world stage. All to not even put a dent in the national debt.

Exactly. Russia would be a better fit.
April 5, 2025 at 11:30 AM
No one would have believed that 15 years ago.

Silver lining, the hardest hit areas will probably be the reddest areas on the map. I for one can't wait for the whining that will follow.
April 5, 2025 at 9:12 AM
Will they learn from this? No, they won't. If they were capable of learning, we wouldn't be in this mess in the first place. The first term should have been enough to solidify Trump's incompetence and lack of concern for the American public, yet they went out and asked for more.

You're still an idiot.
April 4, 2025 at 11:23 PM
You're an idiot who has his head up Trump's ass and Elon's dick in his hand.

They do, but they have scaled back the raises they have traditionally bragged about and cut labor despite sales increasing since last year, basically expecting more sales with less hands than the year before. The whole "we care about people" schtick applies to the shareholders mainly.

That was two CEOs ago. He passed the baton to the guy he threatened who has been pushing the company towards the way everyone else does it and picked a successor who does the same. They're not the worst, but they are slowly shifting towards it. This DEI thing is a marketing tactic. They don't care.
April 4, 2025 at 12:05 PM
They still rely on support from the idiots who still think trump is smart and a good leader. That's what they're afraid of. Losing their meal ticket.
April 4, 2025 at 12:02 PM
The borders have never been open genius. Way to drink the Kool aid. I can't wait for your whining about how you're losing money and struggling in the coming months so I can make fun of you. Stay in school kids because if not, you'll end up like this genius.
April 4, 2025 at 12:00 PM
Way to make up a problem to be mad at.
April 4, 2025 at 11:58 AM
Just say "I'm an idiot who voted for this crap and I'll blame everyone else because I have the maturity of a five year old".
April 4, 2025 at 11:58 AM
Connections to a publisher who can get it out there without the hassle of going through the red tape a new author generally has to go through. Also years of experience writing novels.

I literally just rewatched Tombstone last night. Definitely a classic.

I thought the J was for Jackass.

They could have started by not consistently voting for the party that is causing the issues rural Americans face for the last fifty years. That would have been a great start. Why should we feel any sympathy for people who voted for this and are getting exactly what they paid for?
March 30, 2025 at 4:41 PM
One can only hope that the red rural communities feel it the hardest and the rest of us are able to pull through. I'd say maybe they will learn their lesson, but we all know they will find a way to blame the Democrats.
March 28, 2025 at 3:13 PM
Surprisingly Josh Hawley was the only Republican to oppose it. Don't believe the bank group's excuse that Americans will be forced to find funding at unregulated lenders, that's BS. Overdraft shouldn't be a thing. If you don't have the money, no transaction.
March 28, 2025 at 3:10 PM
They're hurting themselves by being spineless and backing the corporate candidates like Hilary and Kamala instead of giving the voters what they asked for. Last time it was a snub, this time they didn't even bother to ask, they just picked someone and pandered to the sponsors rather than the people.

He says he wants to send American tax papers a 5k check as a refund from the savings but that math ain't mathing to me.
February 19, 2025 at 3:51 PM
If the stuff his kid was saying to Trump on camera in the oval office didn't do it, Elon has some major pull going on there. Don't hold your breath.
February 19, 2025 at 9:52 AM
In the past he wasn't rich enough to do it that way. In his first company he was pushed aside by the venture capitalists he had to bring in to stay alive and then the PayPal merger happened. He had majority control there after the merge and they pushed him aside again before selling to eBay.
February 17, 2025 at 10:08 AM
He wanted to use Windows instead of Unix for PayPal. That's why they took him out of the driver seat and let someone else run it until eBay bought it. He's an idiot with money who is good at sounding smart enough to trust until you really listen to him.
