A 7a coastal gardener, book devourer, crafter of all sorts, workout fiend, who loves the seasons, and all the things that grow.
Up to 50 out today. Started the clip down, weed out, and re-edging. While I worked I put Celestine in the run to get some exercise. I got the herb bed and rose garden finished. I’ll just keep working it in sections but it felt good to get some done. Decided to be lazy for the evening.

After yesterday’s satisfaction my soul was in zen mode. I spent the day decorating in between customers. I made the wreath for the station and got some paper snowflakes cut out and hung. The windows are almost done just need a few more. The wreath needs decorations as well but I ran out of time.

List overflow day! Finished Ophelia’s run and began work on Celestine’s hutch/run. I let her roam Ophelia’s run while I was working on her hutch. I ran out of lumber at 1:30 so tidied and got to burning. Two boxes of old tax papers and the pile of branches from all the heavy wind. Satisfaction!

It’s in the 40s! That means outdoor activities all day. I deconstructed the existing rabbit run, put down the new perforated stainless flooring, and reconstructed the run. Ophelia was nervous to walk on it but she seemed to like it once I put her on it. Tomorrow more gardening tasks to do.

It was a day of getting paperwork done at the gas station between customers. I paid invoices, printed out test results, and did inventory paperwork. After work I got all the critters ready for the single digit temps tonight. Rabbit hutch stuffed with hay and cozies for the bees.

Day off but nothing too exciting. Did a lot of wrapping shrubs in burlap and fixing deer fencing. Just have to dig the last of the dahlias this weekend and I can forget about garden clients until March. Made it to the lumber yard so the weekend is all about Celestine’s housing.

Good evening, been working the past few days. Managed to get my weight workout in before the rain this morning. Finished out my shift in the rain with chilly fingers. Almost fell asleep on the couch before choir. I made it and sung myself hoarse and got assigned a surprise solo.

I was up early but got sidetracked by Seth asking if I wanted to go to breakfast. Feeling full after breakfast I bumped back the run start time an hour. A quick trip to the dump and out for a run. The storm was moving in and it started to rain just as we finished. Being lazy now maybe cleaning.

A quieter day at work let me get some smaller things done. Then it was down a book wormhole for a few hours in between customers. Got next week planned out and then got some exercise after I closed. 7 bluff stair repeats to get a sweat on and now home on the couch.

Friendsgiving was filled with much feasting, fellowship, and fun. It was a dramatic sky this morning on the way to work. Flurries carried on the wind while inside my favorite amaryllis bloomed at work. A shorter weight session to finish out my day and get a sweat on despite the cold temps.

It was a gray day with rain misting off and on. I was hoping to make buns and cheesecake but only enough pumpkin pulp for one. Pumpkin vanilla swirl cheesecake won out but I’ll make buns another time.

It started out so nice this morning with warmer temps and no wind. I got my full body weight workout in for the second week running. Hopefully, I won’t feel as beat up this time. Got some fun new signs for the fuel pumps. You would think it would be common sense but alas not so simple.

It was my first day officially back to work. It was a steady six hours of pumping gas and diesel. My legs are still tired from yesterday’s run but about at 11 they gave up. I wanted to get some work done on the rabbit run, but I only got measurements done. At least the pumpkin got baked.

Started the morning with coffee and then out the door. Got all four posts cemented in on Celestine’s run. Quit at 11 to get ready to get my run in. Made it farther than last time as my lungs are feeling better. Afterwards got my choir attire on and exercised my pipes at the Thanksgiving service.

Soft opening today at the gas station in the cold rain. I got Celestine out of her carrier for a meet and greet with Ophelia while I cleaned her carrier out. Hopefully tomorrow I can start work on her house. Ophelia was fine with the company but the young blood started a ruckus. Bad bunny!

Good evening, not much to report as today was spent at the station preparing for opening. A flurry of testing, calibration, and last minute tidying. I installed new filters on all the pumps and tried out my new under dispenser containment sumps. Celestine gets a housing upgrade tomorrow.

It was a long day off island to pick up Ophelia’s new companion. I have named her Celestine in honor of her original name Stardust. She is 5 months old and half Flemish giant and half New Zealand. Super friendly and spunky she is a delightful addition to the garden system.

As if to make up for yesterday‘s amazing streak of productivity today was a lazy day. I did get all the invoicing done for my gardening business. Had my physical which I managed to lower my cholesterol across the board. I’m going to go off tomorrow to pick up my new bun! The gas station got poured!

A long productive day of getting things done. The pepper bed is finally emptied out and the seaweed and manure turned in. Planted some red shallots and put down a nice straw mulch. Made a chicken soup and casserole for the week to warm the house. Picked my first persimmon nine years later!

Up early today to grab the techs working on installing the new containment sumps under the fuel pumps. They were doing some testing today and then waiting on an inspection to backfill. I got busy warming myself up by doing a full body weight workout. Hadn’t done that since May, feeling beat.

I started Sunday run day and at it was so beautiful with the clouds. I was way too hot and cursing myself for putting on leggings and my warmer rain jacket. I was about midway through as it started graupeling heavily. I caught the rainbow as I waited under a tree. I was cold and wet at the finish

This morning I awoke in one of those fantastic moods with no aches and just a deep feeling of contentment. I had a lazy morning before bringing the recycling to the transfer station. On the way home stopped at the station and got all my French fingerlings cleaned and laud out to dry, onward!

More manure gathering for the gardens today. Going to put some on the rose crowns and turn the last veg garden in along with the seaweed I put down weeks ago. The last of the garlic will get planted today and I’ll finish the last amend and turnover in my garden. Almost settled in for the winter.

Spun out the last frames of honey from Daffodil hive. I also got about half my French fingerling potatoes scrubbed and ready for processing. Needed to get some exercise in I got a solid six reps in on the bluff stairs. Checked on the persimmons but they are not ripe yet, full on orange though.
