I’m blown away by the lack of imagination with these actions. Should our institutions stand we’ll have a new president in a few years, likely a Democrat. I can’t imagine what pearl clutching looks like from the right with these types of precedents and an ambitious progressive in the White House

I always found this wild. In 2020 (b4 immigration was Trumps big campaign point) the CATO Institute (Koch Bros) found illegal immigrants are convicted of crimes 50% less than legal citizens (782/100k vs 1422/100k) in Texas. Almost like it’s a sham
