Currently finalizing my first novel. Getting the word out about the incredible writing community that is Writing Heights. Lover of most things sci-fi, fantasy, or comics. Not like other dads, I’m a cool dad.

Utah has added “Water For Elephants” to their #BannedBook list. Their draconian law allows anyone to object to a title and have it prohibited from libraries and schools. Pt. 1

@ginademillowagner.bsky.social would the attendees from you salon be able to connect? I was hoping to chat with some of the other authors about their WIP, but I had to duck out to get our writing sprint launched.

Just saw an indie bookstore owner say they had their best sales day ever. Not best indie bookstore day sales ever. BEST ANY DAY EVER. Makes me so proud the book loving community showed up today. There is still good in this world. #independentbookstoreday

It was suggested in our writing sprint tonight, we bring back public square stocks to throw tomatoes at horrible podcasters. Quality idea. Favorite quote, “At least those stocks won’t crash” - Molli

Sent my first 7 chapters off to my beta reader. Two left to write to finish part one of the novel. Anyone else want to run off to Alaska and go into hiding once you’ve let someone else take a gander at your WIP??

Question Writers: I’m writing a revolutionary leader and borrowing the style of civil rights leaders. One modern leader/writer in particular. It’s far from an exact copy, but intentional style is used. What’re your thoughts on this? Theft? Homage? Admiration?

We’re in a folk music renaissance and that should be concerning. The last time I feel folk artists wrote this impactfully was Dylan and the 60’s - things weren’t great. Just heard Billy Simon’s song “Great Again.” And listen to anything by Jesse Welles.
