Artisanal bureaucrat. Faceless and unelected during office hours. Does health emergency stuff for the European Commission. Posts likely to be about EU and UK politics, movies, history, Brussels, rugby (Leicester Tigers fan), food.

Yes, you're right. I found it. I misremembered the headline as well (though not the inappropriate pun, which is there in the text).

Hartmannswillerkopf in the Vosges has extraordinary views, and the most extensive surviving network of WW1 trenches I've ever seen.

Seems a bit harsh to single out Jason Isaacs like this.

Here you go. Supermarket didn't have mangetout or (weirdly) chickpeas, so used green beans and lentils. Bloody lovely, just the sort of thing to eat on a miserable rainy Monday evening. Went down well with the kids, which is good going for something this veg- heavy.

So I looked it up to see if I could find the details, and that gig happened on 8 October 1994 (www.strangeones.com/tour/1994.htm)

Though, of course, the AI summary has made up an entirely fictional gig where Shed 7 supported Supergrass on June 13 of that year instead.

Hang on, Charles Amos is the UKIP kid who is pro-incest and was presumably Reform, has he defected to the Tories now?

Went down a minor rabbit hole with this. The previous post on that group was about these quite non-tanned looking local kids kicking the crap out of someone. For some reason the community is not forming vigilante groups to tackle this *actual* danger.

Now, I have no idea what's going on in Leicester, a city I go to very rarely these days. But it is quite a way from the sea so unless people are actually parachuting in, I suspect there is not in fact any illegal immigration activity taking place near the play area and around the gym area.
