Years ago, The Narwhal’s co-founder Emma Gilchrist was turned away from the Press Gallery at the B.C. legislature — they had determined she wasn’t a “real journalist.” It was ironic, since that day the politicians debated revelations about the Site C dam that Emma had herself uncovered.
