Yeah, I’m with you on that - especially with Ode pulling the strings on the other side. Just feel he is almost too good on the ball to be LB forever… nice concern to have to be fair!

We’ve thought of Merino as a bit of a ‘placeholder’ midfielder that won’t disrupt Nwaneri’s development, but reading this I can’t help but think Myles could be the future Left 8. Very different profile to Merino/Xhaka but the defensive nous and on ball quality could be killer in that spot.

I understand it, but if he carries on with this level I can’t see anybody you could buy on the market who would add more. Especially in Jan.

Kai in midfield is the ‘?’ But I love he’s backed Jesus in and recognised keeping Kai sidelined for two in a row could tank his confidence. Both players being so confidence dependent makes things delicate

I don’t think so. Foden was surrounded by stars, Palmer elevates those around him IMO.

It’s not, but then expecting them to put on NZ vs ENG rather than AUS vs IND would be far too much to ask.

Does Chelsea’s form look sustainable? There is no side I dislike more, hoping they are outperforming/due for some footballing variance.

I think it does to be fair. We could afford it today, but other days (Newcastle away, Munich away, etc) it can be the difference.
